Happy Birthday, Rockstar!!
Sai...her name itself has immense purity. She
is a statue of simplicity…she is the symbol of serenity…she has the smile of
salad days…she is as scarce as hen’s teeth…her eyes are sharp as a tack…her
beauty has the power to smash anyone to smithereens…she is the sign of sincerity…she
is as soothing as the skies…she is the sea of sheening liquid gold…the sun’s rays
reflect in her eyes…she wears the shades of life like a scarf…She’s my Saagar
Jaisi Ankhonwali…
I’ve seen Sai since dog’s years and always
admired her hard work as a spectator…but I’ve known her for 8 months now…Haven’t
spoken to her much about her…but still, I feel I know a lot about her…probably
because she resembles my older sister or because I’ve observed them very
closely…
I may have learned a multitude of things
from them which I wouldn’t even be aware of…but there’s one thing I know I
learned from Sai…and that was patience. I realized the power of my patience
after my 8 years of fandom…still going strong thank you very much…
For 8 years…I was just a fan who used send
love to her favorite stars as any other fan did…but then all of a sudden came a
morning that changed everything…it escalated my fandom to another realm
altogether. Thousands of people all over the world wish that they meet or talk
to their favorite celebrity just once some day…I too wished the same…but looked like the
heavens had some other plans for me in store…
Born and brought up in South Mumbai was
always all about dealing with proud hypocrites who were proud of nothing but their
big fat bank accounts, fancy bags and shoes and I being a completely different
person just didn’t fit in…Sai was the one who made me realize that I didn’t fit
in because I was destined to stand out. After all this nonsense that I faced
which people called life…when I spoke to Sai, I realized there are genuine down
to earth people who aren’t proud hypocrites but honest hard workers who have
some real goals they wish to achieve…not just Sai but even Shakti and Shrabani
ma’am…
Sai has been a sweetheart to me and there
may have been times where she might be totally fed up of me…but the truth is someone
so humble, down to earth, loving and soothing is always extremely magnetic and
you always want to be around them…
Today I just want to tell Sai one thing…just
stay the way you are…you have no idea what great impact you have made to my
life and perhaps hundreds of people out there…and you certainly have no idea
what importance do you have in my life…you’re just as inspiring as your father
and as determined as your mother…as loving as your husband and as cute as your daughter…Looking
forward to learning a lot from you this year…until then…Kriya Mehta…
